It's a Bird, It's a Plan!

Winfield has been growing by leaps and bounds!As we continue to grow it is important to meet the needs of our residents and offer unique opportunities and experiences that can improve quality of life.Since our incorporation as a town in 1993 we have added many neighborhood parks, a larger 12-acre park and we are hoping to add a new 100+ acre park that will be designed from the ground up.

We are surrounded by other established communities such as Crown Point and Valparaiso which have been adding facilities and events for over 100 years, Winfield has had to start from scratch so having a plan in place will allow the town leaders to plan for future improvements and enhancements.

Other activities in Winfield include our annual Harvest Festival, movies in the park, clean-up days, Easter egg hunt, antique car show, touch-a truck and yoga in the park.Winfield also has a comprehensive pedestrian path and sidewalk plan and encourages all new developments to include walking paths and neighborhood park facilities when planning new development.

What other enhancements and/or improvements can Winfield make to improve quality of life for its residents.Both short term and long-term plans should be detailed.
